Calling for help in an emergency should be the easy step. These are the commitments behind the number on this site, and the limits of them, stated in the same breath.
A real person, day or night
The phone is covered 24/7, including weekends and holidays, because that is when most of these calls actually come in.
You are never billed for this service
Calling and being connected is free. There is no fee, no membership and no booking charge for using this site. What you agree with the contractor afterwards is between you and them.
Insured, credentialled and nearby
You are put through to an independent contractor who holds whatever licences, registrations and permits this trade and Iowa require for the job, carries its own insurance, and actually works in Ankeny. Ask to see the paperwork before work starts — any contractor worth hiring expects the question.
A poor fit is fixed by one more call
You are not stuck with the first name you are given. Call back, say it was not a fit, and ask for another. That is what the line is for.
The honest limit of all of this
To be plain: nothing here warrants or guarantees work performed by any contractor. They are independent, the agreement is yours with them, and the guarantee you can rely on is the one they put in writing.
